The Ambu Baby has been specifically developed for realistic training in modern resuscitation techniques for infants and corresponds in shape and size to a one-year-old child. The lifelike anatomy enables correct identification of the compression point for chest compressions and ensures authentic training conditions. A palpable brachial pulse, audible and tangible exhalation through mouth and nose, as well as airways that remain open only with correct head tilt support practical training in ventilation techniques. The patented Ambu hygiene system offers maximum protection against cross-infection, as it is a closed system and no germs can enter the interior of the device. Elaborate internal cleaning is unnecessary, as the disposable air bags can simply be discarded after training. For added safety and realistic training scenarios, airway obstruction can be simulated. Thanks to the flexibly rotatable and extendable head, various positions for airway management can be practised.
