The didactic vertebral column model with pelvis is characterised by its colour-coded illustration of the different types of vertebrae, while also clearly demonstrating the structure of the human spinal column. Due to the detailed representation of the spinal column structure, this vertebral column model can be used as teaching material in universities and physiotherapy schools. However, the anatomical model is also used for patient education in doctor's surgeries and physiotherapy practices. The human spine consists of different vertebrae, which are grouped into the following sections: The didactic vertebral column illustrates these divisions and clearly shows them by using a different colour for each section. The cervical vertebrae C1-C7 are depicted in terracotta, the thoracic vertebrae Th1-Th12 in light blue, the lumbar vertebrae L1-5 in pink, the sacrum and coccyx are coloured yellow. Besides the anatomical structures mentioned, the didactic spinal column model with pelvis also shows a herniated disc between L4 and L5. The didactic model of a vertebral column and pelvis comes delivered on a stable base, but can also be removed for a more detailed view.
