The EarScope Basic provides a compact and reliable solution for examining the external auditory canal and tympanic membrane. Its removable cap and included single-use ear specula in three sizes (3, 4 and 5 mm; 10 pieces each) ensure safe and hygienic use in daily clinical practice. A VGA resolution of 640 × 480 pixels combined with 20x to 30x magnification enables detailed and dependable assessment of otological findings. Four integrated white LEDs provide uniform, glare-free illumination, while the IR cut filter supports high-contrast, true-to-colour imaging for accurate diagnosis. The optical glass lens with anti-reflective coating further reduces reflections and enhances image clarity. The device connects via USB 2.0 and is compatible with Windows (7–11) and macOS (from 10.9). The included software (DinoCapture 2.0 for Windows and DinoXcope for macOS) allows simple capture and documentation of images and videos, supporting structured clinical documentation and workflow efficiency. With a lightweight, robust design (95 g, 10.5 cm length) and a 1.8 m cable, the EarScope Basic is suitable for flexible use in medical practices and hospital environments.
