The Erler Zimmer IM Injection and Iliac Crest Punch Biopsy Simulator is designed for targeted learning and practice of the correct intramuscular (IM) puncture technique as well as iliac crest biopsy. The model features an artificial pelvis made of bone-like material, providing a realistic tactile feel and, due to its natural size, is ideal for patient simulation. Particularly noteworthy is the authentic puncture sensation, which makes training practical and precisely enhances the motor skills of users. The training model allows for multiple repeatable punctures but is not designed for fluid aspiration. Thanks to its robust yet realistic construction, the model supports the improvement of puncture technique while considering patient safety and workflow efficiency in clinical training.
