The Kinesiology Tape Kintex Classic is used for the functional support of muscles, fasciae, ligaments, and joints. It is made of 100% cotton with a hypoallergenic acrylic adhesive, which is applied in an S-shaped wave pattern to ensure optimal adaptation to body structures. The tape is characterised by its high stretchability of 50–60% in the longitudinal direction as well as a pre-stretch of 10% on the backing material. This allows for precise and individual application. Thanks to its high skin compatibility and durability, the tape is suitable for both inpatient and outpatient use. It is waterproof and breathable, so patients can wear the tape without any problems while showering, bathing, or swimming. The wearing time is approximately one week, with the main effect occurring in the first few days after application and the dressing being perceived as hardly noticeable. The Kintex Classic Tape is available in several colours and can be easily cut to size, allowing flexible use on different body regions.
