The LED Frenzel glasses from DeHag is the next generation of nystagmus goggles. The LED technology guarantees nearly lifelong functionality of the light source. The LED light glasses are used to examine the vestibular organ and to detect eye movement disorder (nystagmus). Frenzel glasses are also known as nystagmus goggles. The Frenzel glasses test is used to detect so-called spontaneous nystagmus, which is often related to a disturbance of the sense of balance. Eye tremor is often associated with neurological, ophthalmological and ENT disorders. Other symptoms include spinning and staggering vertigo, blurred vision and double vision. The easy handling of these LED nystagmus goggles makes it possible to quickly detect an eye movement disorder. The examination should always take place in a darkened room so that the LEDs illuminate the patient's eyes in the best way possible. The nystagmus goggles are equipped with two magnifying lenses with a power of at least +15 dpt. Looking at surrounding objects can interfere with eye movements, making diagnosis more difficult.
