Article No. AK-FD-342

The 1M4 microfilament functions as a neurological diagnostic instrument, specifically designed for detecting nerve damage. It is commonly employed in the diagnostic assessment of conditions like diabetic foot, providing a means to assess and evaluate neurological functions. For this purpose, the elastic plastic filament of the instrument is pressed vertically with significant force onto the sole of the patient's foot until the filament bends straight. If the patient feels nothing, there is a suspected neuropathy. After use, the filament can be retracted into the handle, protecting the plastic thread inside.
