Model of a Spinal Column with Pelvis
HeineScientific · 129993
Article No. AK-FD-352
This anatomical model provides a life-sized representation of a spinal column and pelvis, which makes it an excellent tool for realistic demonstration of medical diagnoses. The emphasis of the flexible model is on the physiological depiction of all vertebrae, the intervertebral discs, the spinal nerves, the spinal cord and the vertebral artery (arteria vertebralis). It can be used as a visual aid for patient education or for learning anatomical structures. Moreover, the model presents a pathological representation of a vertebral injury and a prolapsed disc. The skeleton model consists of a flexible spine (columna vertebralis), including the cervical spine (pars cervicalis – 7 vertebra), thoracic spine (pars thoracica – 12 vertebra), lumbar spine (pars lumbalis – 5 vertebra) and with sacrum (os sacrum – synostosis of 5 vertebral bodies), the tailbone (os coccygis – synostosis of 4-5 vertebral bodies) and the other bones of the pelvis. The flexible model of a human spine is mounted to a plastic base and ca. 83 cm high. Physiological representation of all vertebrae, the spinal nerves, the spinal cord and pelvic bone
