The mobile fundus camera system RetinaScope provides healthcare professionals with an innovative, evidence-based solution for capturing high-quality retinal images directly at the point of care. The system combines the lightweight Nun+ WFC-01 device, a dedicated Android smartphone, and RS Plus software to enable fast, non-invasive retinal imaging, often without the need for mydriasis. Its compact, battery-powered design makes it suitable for use in general practices, pharmacies, optometry settings, and mobile or decentralised care models. The intuitive workflow allows trained staff to reliably acquire clinically usable images after a short onboarding period. This supports the early detection of retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and glaucoma, and helps facilitate timely referral or treatment decisions. Captured images can optionally be assessed using AI-supported analysis tools, which provide additional decision support while leaving the final interpretation and responsibility with the clinician.
