The SONY MCC-500MD Full HD surgical video camera is designed to integrate with medical equipment such as surgical microscopes and slit lamps. The surgical camera consists of a compact camera head and a separate camera control unit (CCU). To further enhance the quality of the image, the Full HD camera is equipped with a 1/2.9 single-chip "Exmor" CMOS image sensor, offering improved low-light sensitivity compared with traditional equivalent-sized image sensors. The MCC-500MD also offers a wide range of useful functions and shooting modes. Picture profiles can be stored and recalled instantly, reducing time-consuming set-up between procedures. The unit can also be optionally controlled from an external device such as a computer. With a practical Picture Freeze function, still images can be captured during recording. The wide range of connection options and interfaces make the Full HD camera particularly versatile.
