Description

The 3M™ Actisorb™ Silver 220 is an activated charcoal wound dressing with silver, enclosed in a non-adherent nylon cover. The combination of activated charcoal and silver helps bind bacteria, toxins and unpleasant odours that can interfere with wound healing. The dressing also supports a moist wound environment, which is important for optimal wound healing. Thanks to its silver content, the dressing is effective against more than 150 microorganisms, including resistant strains such as MRSA and VRE, without affecting the body's own cells or fibroblast proliferation. The non-adherent nylon cover enables atraumatic removal, helping to improve patient comfort and facilitate wound care. The dressing is suitable for deep and superficial wounds, including ulcerating carcinomas as well as ulcerated, traumatic and surgical wounds with a risk of infection. It can be folded if required and applied on either side, making it easy to adapt to different wound shapes.
