Description

ACTICOAT™ 7 wound dressing by Smith+Nephew is an advanced antimicrobial dressing for the management of infected or infection-prone acute and chronic wounds. Nanocrystalline silver technology provides rapid and sustained antimicrobial activity for up to 7 days, offering broad-spectrum protection including MRSA, VRE and Pseudomonas. Continuous silver ion release helps reduce microbial load and supports a moist wound environment conducive to healing. The multilayer, flexible structure adapts well to complex wound shapes and body contours, ensuring secure placement during movement. The dressing is non-adherent to the wound bed, allowing for atraumatic and low-pain removal. ACTICOAT™ 7 is suitable for a wide range of indications including pressure ulcers, venous and diabetic ulcers, burns, postoperative wounds and donor or graft sites. It can be cut to size and used as a primary dressing or for wound packing. Its design supports efficient application in clinical workflows while helping to reduce biofilm formation and wound odour.
