The ALLEVYN™ Gentle Border Heel is a silicone foam wound dressing designed for the management of heel wounds with moderate to heavy exudation. Its anatomical heel shape ensures a secure fit and reliable fixation without the need for secondary dressings. The soft silicone adhesive provides gentle adhesion and allows painless, residue‑free removal, reducing the risk of skin trauma. The highly absorbent foam core efficiently absorbs wound exudate and helps protect the surrounding skin from maceration. A breathable, waterproof outer film protects the wound from external contamination while allowing gas exchange. With a wear time of up to 7 days, the dressing is suitable for pressure ulcers (decubitus), diabetic foot ulcers, postoperative wounds, split‑thickness skin graft donor sites and first‑ and second‑degree burns. The full‑surface silicone coating ensures secure yet gentle adhesion on intact and sensitive periwound skin.
