Description

The ALLEVYN™ Gentle Border Lite wound dressing by Smith & Nephew is a highly flexible, gently adhesive foam dressing with a full-surface silicone gel layer. Its 2 mm thin polyurethane foam core ensures excellent conformability, making it particularly suitable for difficult anatomical areas such as heels, elbows and knees. The hypoallergenic silicone coating provides secure, atraumatic adhesion and allows pain-free removal, making it ideal for sensitive or fragile skin. The breathable, waterproof outer film protects the wound from external contamination while maintaining vapour permeability, allowing patients to shower during use. The dressing is designed for low to moderate exuding wounds and supports a moist wound healing environment to promote optimal healing conditions. No secondary fixation is required, and the dressing remains securely in place for up to 7 days, while staying flexible and conformable.
