Description

Smith & Nephew's Intrasite™ Gel is a hydrogel that is largely composed of water. It supports autolytic debridement, i.e. the cleansing of the wound by supersaturation with moisture, which leads to the dissolution and removal of adherent tissue residues or coatings. At the same time, it can absorb coatings, scabs and excess exudate. The healthy tissue and the surrounding skin are not affected, which leads to faster wound healing. Thanks to the application dispenser and the viscous gel structure, the gel can be easily applied to the wound in a controlled manner.
