Metalline® wound dressings by Lohmann & Rauscher are specially designed for use around drains, tubes and tracheostomy sites. The wound-facing side features an ultra-thin aluminium coating that prevents adhesion and enables atraumatic, low-pain dressing changes. Each dressing has a three-layer structure: a perforated, aluminised contact layer, a super-absorbent core, and a nonwoven outer layer for stability and protection. This design ensures optimal exudate drainage, minimises irritation, and enhances patient comfort. The cuttable, air- and vapour-permeable compresses offer flexible use in clinical settings.
