Description

The individually cut Suprasorb® A Pro calcium alginate dressing from Lohmann-Rauscher is used for the professional care of acute or chronic highly exuding wounds. In addition to calcium alginate fibre, the wound dressing also contains cellulose fibres, which have a reinforcing and stabilising effect. The absorption of wound exudate causes the exchange of sodium ions with calcium ions, forming a gel. The gel not only maintains a moist wound environment, but also safely traps bacteria and cell debris. Depending on the degree of exudation, the dressing can remain on the wound for up to 7 days until it can be completely removed in one piece.
