Description

Surgicryl® MONOFAST Ligapack is a synthetic monofilament suture for the adaptation of soft tissue and ligatures. Made of polyglecaprone 25, the suture combines high tensile strength with a predictable absorption profile, providing reliable support during the healing process. The absorbable material undergoes hydrolytic resorption, with complete absorption occurring within approximately 90 to 110 days. Approximately 75% of the tensile strength is retained after 7 days, providing continued support during the early healing phase. The suture has a uniform diameter and passes smoothly through tissue, helping to minimise tissue drag and tissue trauma. As a monofilament, it has no capillary action, which limits the potential for bacterial migration along the suture. Its excellent knot-sliding characteristics and high flexibility facilitate secure and efficient knot tying and provide good handling during suturing. Surgicryl® MONOFAST Ligapack is suitable for the adaptation of soft tissue and ligatures in general surgery, plastic surgery, visceral surgery, gynaecology and urology. The suture is supplied in airtight packaging to maintain sterility until use.
