Description

Surgicryl® MONOFAST without Needle is a synthetic monofilament suture made of poliglecaprone 25. It combines high tensile strength with a predictable absorption profile, providing reliable support during soft-tissue adaptation. The suture is completely absorbed by the body within approximately 90 to 110 days. Thanks to its uniform diameter, the suture passes smoothly through tissue, helping to minimise tissue trauma and the sawing effect. As a monofilament suture, it has no capillary action, which helps reduce the potential for bacterial colonisation. Its excellent knot-sliding characteristics facilitate secure and efficient knot tying. The flexible, supple suture provides good handling properties during suturing and is suitable for a range of surgical applications. Surgicryl® MONOFAST without Needle is particularly suitable for skin closure and soft-tissue adaptation in general surgery, plastic surgery, visceral surgery, gynaecology and urology. The suture is supplied without a needle in airtight packaging to maintain sterility until use. It can be combined with a suitable needle according to the requirements of the procedure.
