Description

Surgicryl® RAPID with Needle is a resorbable, braided multifilament suture made of polyglycolic acid. It is coated with polycaprolactone and calcium stearate, which reduces surface friction and facilitates smooth passage through tissue. The suture combines high initial tensile strength with excellent knot security, providing reliable support during the early healing phase. The flexible, coated multifilament construction enables good handling and smooth tissue passage, helping to minimise tissue drag and tissue trauma. Its rapid resorption means the suture is completely absorbed within approximately 42 days, making it suitable when temporary suture support is required. Surgicryl® RAPID with Needle is particularly suitable for superficial soft-tissue adaptation of skin and mucous membranes, including applications in plastic surgery, obstetrics, gynaecology, urology, ophthalmology and paediatric surgery. The suture is supplied sterile in airtight packaging and includes a needle, providing a ready-to-use solution for superficial soft-tissue closure.
