Description

Tegaderm™ HP is a sterile, transparent film dressing designed for the protection of I.V. catheter sites and wounds. Its high adhesion helps keep the dressing securely in place under challenging conditions, with a wear time of up to 7 days. The breathable, conformable film flexes with the skin and is suitable for areas exposed to moderate amounts of moisture. The highly transparent film allows for continuous visual monitoring of the wound or catheter insertion site without removing the dressing. The practical picture frame style facilitates precise and easy placement, while the skin-friendly adhesive helps minimise irritation. Tegaderm™ HP provides a waterproof barrier against external contaminants and can be worn during showering. For showering, the manufacturer recommends using a waterproof cover over the dressing and I.V. site. The film dressing is suitable for catheter insertion sites, clean surgical wounds, superficial wounds and burns, as well as for protecting vulnerable skin, pressure ulcers and skin graft or donor sites. It can also be used as a secondary dressing for moist wound dressings and for postoperative wound care with visual monitoring.
