Description

The Tegaderm I.V. Port Dressing is a sterile fixation dressing designed for the secure coverage and protection of implanted venous port catheters. Its transparent polyurethane film allows continuous visual monitoring of the puncture site and surrounding skin, making it easier to detect changes such as signs of inflammation. The dressing features a cut-out area around the port needle that helps reduce the risk of dislodging or damaging the catheter during dressing changes. Its breathable material allows water vapour to escape while providing an effective barrier against bacteria and viruses, helping protect the puncture site from external contamination. The dressing can remain in place for up to seven days, helping to reduce dressing changes and support patient comfort. A version with an antimicrobial CHG gel pad containing chlorhexidine gluconate is also available, providing sustained antimicrobial protection at the puncture site. The Tegaderm I.V.
