Description

CorPatch® is a compact medical device designed to support high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in adults. It combines an electronic device with an adhesive patch and a free smartphone app based on the current European resuscitation guidelines for Basic Life Support (BLS). The device precisely measures compression depth, frequency, recoil and flow fraction and transmits this data to the app in real time via Bluetooth®. The app provides visual and acoustic feedback to help optimise the quality of chest compressions and reduce uncertainty during CPR. It also provides guidance from recognising a cardiac arrest through vital sign monitoring and CPR instructions, based on the user's individual training specifications. The adhesive patch features an integrated positioning aid that supports correct placement of CorPatch® on the chest. CorPatch® can be used regularly for CPR training, with training every three months recommended to help maintain CPR skills.
