The "Flo-Guard" breathing filter from Intersurgical is an electrostatic bacteria and virus filter and protects both the patient and the device from cross-contamination. The filter has a low resistance and a wide range of flow rates. It is connected to the ventilation system, where its conical shape supports the airflow and the large filter surface reduces the flow resistance.
