The O3® Regional Oximeter MOC-9 Module enables continuous, non-invasive monitoring of regional oxygen saturation (rSO2) in tissues, particularly in the cerebral and somatic regions. Based on the proven multi-distance diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, it uses optical sensors to accurately measure oxygen supply in microvessels. This complements conventional pulse oximetry by providing deeper insights into tissue oxygenation – a crucial advantage for optimizing patient care, especially in complex perioperative or intensive care situations. The module integrates seamlessly into the Root® Patient Monitoring platform, supporting workflow optimisation through centralised data overview and ease of use.
