Description

The Root® Platform by Masimo is a versatile and scalable monitoring platform that integrates a wide range of technologies, devices and systems to deliver multimodal monitoring, connectivity, and automation in one unified solution. It acts as a central interface for consolidating and visualising a wide range of physiological parameters and can be flexibly expanded via the Masimo Open Connect™ (MOC-9™) interface—including with third-party measurement modules. Its intuitive multi-touch display presents all values clearly and can be customised to fit specific workflows, including configurable waveform views for rapid patient assessments. The platform allows for the fully automated documentation of vital signs, reducing the risk of manual entry errors and supporting integration with electronic patient records (EPRs) and hospital communication systems. When combined with Masimo SafetyNet® or Iris Gateway™, the Root platform enables centralised alarm transmission across multiple locations, automated early warning score (EWS) calculations, and reliable patient monitoring—both at the bedside and across care settings.
