Description

Septican® Soap is a ready-to-use, antibacterial liquid soap for hygienic handwashing with antimicrobial action in daily work in a medical practice. The product is characterised by its bactericidal and limited virucidal effect and is suitable for all areas of personal hygiene. The formulation contains the active ingredients benzalkonium chloride (1 g/100 g) and chlorhexidine digluconate (0.4 g/100 g), which ensure effective reduction of germs. For hygienic handwashing, 5 ml of undiluted soap is recommended. A contact time of 60 seconds is sufficient to achieve a bactericidal effect against Escherichia coli in accordance with EN 1499. Other relevant germs such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, staphylococci, coliform bacteria and Enterococcus hirae are effectively reduced in accordance with EN 1276 after a contact time of 180 seconds. The product is also IHO-listed and thus complies with recognised standards for hygienic handwashing products.
