Description

The 3M™ Ioban™ 2 Antimicrobial Incise Drape helps reduce microbial wound contamination and supports infection prevention during surgical procedures. Applied directly to the skin around the surgical site, it provides continuous broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity throughout the procedure, helping to reduce the risk of surgical site contamination. The antimicrobial activity extends down to 1,000 microns, helping to suppress microbial re-colonisation around the surgical site. The drape also immobilises and isolates residual bacteria on the skin, helping to prevent their migration into the surgical incision area. Its conformable adhesion allows it to adhere securely to the operative site and stay in place throughout the procedure. The flexible film adapts to body contours and allows limb manipulation during surgery.
