The astringent Askina Stick is ideal for use after shaving to stop bleeding from minor cuts. The active ingredient is aluminium sulphate which has a coagulating effect. When the stick is moistened with water a salty solution forms on the surface. The solution has a skin tightening effect and helps to smooth and relax the skin. Apply it to shaving cuts to quickly stop the bleeding. This styptic pencil is ideal for use as part of a pre-operative shave or also for use after shaving someone in need of care.
