The disinfecting caps are suitable for efficient prevention of intraluminal bloodstream infections and serve as a barrier to contamination from catheter-related infections. The caps disinfect the distal end of IV tubing and protect against contamination with microorganisms such as Staph. aureus, Staph. epidermidis or even Candida albicans.
