Description

The blunt fill needle from BD is ideal for withdrawing medication from different containers. The blunt tip reduces the risk of needlestick injuries, thus protecting the medical staff. The BD Blunt Fill needle is available without filter for multi-dose containers and with an integrated particle filter for use with glass ampoules. Breaking open a glass ampoule often results in contamination of the injection fluid with tiny glass particles. To prevent the needle form withdrawing these particles and administering them to the patient, it is recommended to use a fill needle with integrated particle filter. As a result, complications caused by injected glass particles are reduced effectively.
