Description

The BD Saf-T-Intima™ Safety System is a closed IV catheter system with a removable slide clamp and vent and is ideal for subcutaneous and/or intravenous infusion therapy. Thanks to the BD Vialon™ catheter biomaterial, it can achieve longer dwell times and carries a low complication risk. In addition, the BD Saf-T-Intima™ Safety System offers high patient comfort as it is easy to insert and maintain. The pre-attached extension set minimises the risk of contact contamination and the wings facilitate puncture and catheter securement. Especially for medication administration and rehydration therapy, the catheter is versatile, finding extensive use in palliative care, paediatrics and pain management. It is available in different sizes and with or without a Y-adapter.
