Description

The LineGene HSV test kit from BIOER is used for the nucleic acid typing detection of herpes simplex 1 and 2 from urethral or cervical swabs. The automated evaluation is performed in only 32 minutes using a BIOER PCR system, such as the LineGene MINI S. All reagents contained in the kit are ready-to-use, so that only a few pipetting steps are necessary for sample preparation. The test serves as an aid in the diagnosis and differentiation of a herpes infection. HSV (herpes simplex virus) is a worldwide common pathogen that causes lip or genital herpes. Since the reaction vessel remains closed throughout after preparation of the sample and no longer needs to be opened, no aerosols are produced. This results in a low risk of infection and contamination.
