Description

The LineGene Strep B test kit from BIOER is used for the qualitative detection of Streptococcus B in anal or vaginal swabs. The test can be automatically evaluated with various systems from the manufacturer, including the LineGene MINI S. All reagents included in the kit are ready-to-use, so sample preparation requires only a few pipetting steps. The test serves as an aid in the diagnosis of a Streptococcus B infection. Especially pregnant women should have a Streptococcus B test as a precaution. Normally, the bacterium does not cause any symptoms in the expectant mother, but it can be transmitted to the baby during birth. The pathogen causes various diseases, such as tonsillitis or scarlet fever. The reaction vessels used remain closed continuously after the preparation phase.
