The meditrol® Microalbumin Test Strips from medichem are intended for the semi-quantitative detection of low levels of albumin in urine. Specifically designed for professional in-vitro diagnostics, the microalbumin test can serve as an aid in the diagnosis of renal dysfunction as an initial screening tool. The test result is interpreted using a colour scale, where the colour intensity of the test line decreases continuously as the albumin concentration in urine rises. The concentration range spans from 20 mg/l to 100 mg/l, with albumin concentrations above these values resulting in the complete disappearance of the test line. The test is conducted using spontaneous urine and the test result can be read in just 5 minutes.
