Grassolind are ointment dressings from Hartmann that are free of active ingredients and made of wide-meshed cotton fabric. The tissue is interwoven with a neutral ointment mass that is neither sensitising nor allergising. Grassolind ointment dressings are used to keep wound edges and wound surfaces supple and to protect the wound from drying out. Since Grassolind does not stick to the wound, dressing changes are painless and granulation tissue is not irritated. Ointment mass contains: white vaseline, diglycerol esters of mono- and dicarboxylic fatty acids, synthetic wax Grassolind is used for general wound treatment, especially for keeping wound surfaces and wound edges supple. It can be used for large abrasions or lacerations as well as for burns or scalds. Grassolind ointment dressings can be used in plastic and cosmetic surgery, for nail extractions, to cover the donor site in skin grafts and to fix split skin grafts.
