Lactate is an important parameter in veterinary medicine for the early detection of a lack of oxygen supply to cells and tissue. This is considered an indicator for a wide variety of metabolic disorders, but above all for determining the vitality of the intestine in colic patients. With the help of the L-PET Veterinary Lactate Meter, the lactate value can be determined quickly and reliably in only 45 seconds. The meter only needs 3 µl of whole blood, which is aspirated by the test strips and then measured with the biosensor specifically for the lactate concentration in the blood.
