Description

Surgicryl Monofast is an absorbable suture that comes on a spool. The monofilament, uncoated suture is very tear resistant, offers excellent hold of the tissue, only minimal tissue reactions and simple, secure knots. Veterinarians use Surgicryl Monofast for small and large animals for adaptation of soft tissues, for ligatures, skin closure, general surgery and uterine and intestinal stitching. After 7 days, the tightness remains at approximately 60%; the tissue support lasts approximately 20 days. Scarring is quick and clean. The Surgicryl Monofast suture is very flexible, while simultaneously holding tightness; a thread with metric 4 thickness holds at 79 Newtons, a metric 5 thickness thread at 109 Newtons.
