Description
SMI's VENOCATH venous. catheter has an optimal flow rate and allows the catheter to remain in the vein for up to 3 days. In addition, the catheter is equipped with two X-ray contrast strips and thus offers good visibility on X-ray images. Thanks to the transparent flashback chamber, successful venipuncture is easily visible by means of the blood return. Made of thin-walled, kink-resistant FEP, it offers not only a safe and above all atraumatic application for the animal, but also enables the user to perform an optimal puncture, which is additionally facilitated by two grip plates. With the help of the deformable fixation wings, the VENOCATH can be securely fixed to the animal so that slipping is prevented.
